Your privacy is important to us. It is Today Brief's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our services. What Does This Privacy Policy Cover
This Privacy Policy covers the treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") we gather when you are using or accessing Today Brief. This Privacy Policy also covers our treatment of any Personal Information that our business partners share with us or that we share with our business partners.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including but not limited to any third-party websites, content sources, services and applications ("Third Party Services") that you choose to access through Today Brief. Types of Data We Collect
Sign-In Information
When you create an Account or login using your Twitter, Facebook, and/or Google credentials, you will provide information that could be Personal Information, such as your username on that service and/or email address. You acknowledge that this information may be personal to you, and by creating an account with Today Brief and providing Personal Information to us, you allow us to identify you and therefore may not be anonymous.
Mobile Services.
We may also collect non-personal information from your mobile device if you have downloaded our Application. This information is generally used to help us deliver the most relevant information to you. Examples of information that may be collected and used include how you use the Application, and information about the type of device you use. In addition, in the event our Application crash on your mobile device, we will receive information about your mobile device model software version and device carrier, which allows us to identify and fix bugs and otherwise improve the performance of our Application. This information is sent to us as aggregated information and is not traceable to any individual and cannot be used to identify an individual.
Analytics.
We use Google Analytics to collect information about use of our services. Google Analytics provides us insight on app usage and user engagement. To accomplish this, Google Analytics collects data via identifiers for mobile devices (including Android Advertising ID and Advertising Identifier for iOS), cookies and similar technologies.
We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Google Analytics uses only first-party cookies for data analysis, which means that the cookies are linked to a specific service, and Google Analytics will only use that cookie data for statistical analysis related to your behavior on that service. We don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law. Changing or Deleting Your Personal Information
You may change any of your personal information in your Account through the settings page. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us, and we will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request, but please note that we may be required to keep such information and not delete it (or to keep this information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request only after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete any information, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our archives. We may also retain your information for fraud prevention or similar purposes. You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Security of Your Personal information
Today Brief is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we use reasonable efforts to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make changes in the way we collect or use information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on or within Today Brief or sending you an email. A user is bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses Today Brief after such changes have been first posted.
